Management of an EPP migration project

Challenges
Alter Solutions supported the Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP) team in the following tasks:
- Drawing up and updating schedules for several projects in progress.
- Ensuring coordination between the various teams.
- Reporting on the projects’ progress after each meeting and sending out the necessary communications for each project.
- Requesting EPP-related changes to the responsible team and ensuring follow-up and communication until those changes were implemented.
Solutions
We worked on the following projects:
- Integration and onboarding of new company entities in the Symantec EPP solution (30 entities onboarded in 2023).
- Migration of the assets of the entities in the old EPP structure to the new one (new groups).
- Deactivation of the old Global Update Providers (GUPs) for the various entities.
- Update of the EPP agent to the version required for the EPP to SaaS migration project.
